Jonathan is known for his ability to work alongside powerful people to help them achieve their aggressive goals. BYUtv, ManpowerGroup, SolarCity, Vivint, Beyond 5, ScenicView Academy, the BYU School of Music, and many other organizations have improved because of Jonathan’s contributions. To put it simply: Jonathan helps people become better people.
Jonathan studies Commercial Music at BYU. He sings, and plays the piano, guitar, drums, bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, and harmonica.
In 2016, Jonathan collaborated with Na-G and Yahosh to produce a song to build unity, understanding, and love. Watch it here.
In 2015, Jonathan started working for BYUtv as a Post Audio Engineer and has worked on Studio C, American Ride, The Story Trek, BYU Sports and Promotions, Great Salt Lake: Utah's Sanctuary, and many others.
In 2013 Jonathan interned as the Assistant to Tyler Castleton and Russ Dixon, the Producers of Beyond 5. Jonathan helped ramp up and accompanied the band on their tour of 7 Asian countries performing for 20,000+ people. On the tour he was officially the Social Media Head, Lighting Director, and Translator.
In 2012, Jonathan raised $4,000 in one week, and traveled with World of Difference to Kenya to help build schools for African children in the slums of Nairobi. He says, "That Africa trip was one of the most poignantly painful, and yet, hopefully beautiful experiences of my entire life."
Jonathan taught music to adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other learning disabilities for 3 years (2009-2012), and eventually became the Manager of Fine Arts at ScenicView Academy.
He sang with BYU Singers (the premiere touring choir for BYU) for 4 years. With the BYU Singers, Jonathan has performed throughout the United States, England, and Wales.
Jonathan is one of the founders of the "Singers Alumni Hymn Project." He was a Producer and Audio Engineer for the many tracks recorded by the Singers Alumni in 2013. Donating his time and talents along with hundreds of other Singers Alumni, Jonathan helped raise over $100,000 for the BYU Singers Endowment Fund.
